ive tried to engage the 4x4-but nothing happens-no lights no nothin-is it
just some wiring that needs to be connected?

I HAVE A FORD EXPEDITION EVERY NOW AND THEN WHEN IT RAINS HARD ALL MY

HAPPENED ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO, WE GOT A NEW ALTERNATOR.   SEEMED TO BE
FINE FOR A WHILE JUST RECENTLY IT HAPPENED AGAIN.  TRIED JUMPING IT AND

This morning when I went to start my 150, the steering column was (still is)
locked 35 degrees off centre and the key won't turn to unlock the steering
wheel and start the truck.  The front wheels are straight though.
I tried finessing the steering wheel and lock - to no avail.

I have a 69 f250 that has a 7.3 liter IH diesel engine that is blown. I
have a 93 f250 with a 7.3 liter diesel in it that runs great. Can the
93 engine be placed in the 89??

On my '06 F-250 6.0 Diesel with the 8 foot bed I have a 38 gal. fuel tank.
Twice now when low on fuel, the "Low Fuel" warning light came on. Each time
I immediately got fuel topping off the tank with 33 gals. This indicates to
me that the reserve fuel is 5 gals. Does anyone know ...

It appears I'm going to have to start hauling water sometime this
summer, so I'm going to start looking for a decent used Ford
pickup that will haul a 500 gallons of water in a plastic water
tank.

When driving in 2H, hubs not locked, I hear a Zzzzzzzzzz sound from
the left front wheel. Almost like grinding, or gears rubbing against
each other. As I slow to a stop, it will go CLUNK, and stop.
Does not happen in 4WD, or with hubs locked in 2H.

I have a '73 Ford F100 Ranger XLT with the 390FE and C6 Auto. I want to swap
the transmission out with a standard shift. (4 or 5 speed).
I'm hoping someone has already done this, and can offer some advice. Clutch,
flywheel and bell housing are no problem for the 390. They are easy ...

I have an 04 Sport Trac XLT with 4.10 axles, and the 4.0 liter V6
motor.  I don't think the truck has a limited slip differential, and I
have only 2WD.  The truck is rated to tow 5,600+/- lbs.  My boat, a 21'
cuddy weighs about 2,000, plus 450 motor, plus the trailer, plus fuel.
