Cost for replacing upper ball joints--07 Jan 2007 09:18 GMT3
I have a 96 Ford Explorer XLT w/ 87,000 miles on it.  Recently, I have
been having "creaking" noises coming from the right front.  I believe
it is the ball joint because it makes quite a bit of noise when I am
turning at low speeds (or while parking for instance) and if I bounce
1990 Bronco 5.8 Ignition Problem07 Jan 2007 00:29 GMT3
Drove my Bronco to a friends house about a mile away, no problem.  Came out
after 30 minutes and was unable to start the truck.  I put the key in the
ignition, turn it to the start position, the fuel pump makes the noise it
makes, but the key doesn't seem to have that feel like it ...

My '95 Bronco (5.8L, Eddie Bauer) makes a noticible clunk -- 3 of them
really -- when I start going from a standing stop. It also makes a nearly
identical clunk -- single instance -- at the moment it comes to a full stop.
The first two clunks are somewhat strong, and the third is ...

got a big crease-type dent in the driver's side door on my 97 Ranger, the Ford body shop
wants $1100 to do it up right, new sheet metal and paint.
I know somebody who can arrange something at a much lower price, which I think will
involve Bondo, but I'm thinking I will just leave ...
Storing F350 Diesel for 2 months04 Jan 2007 21:15 GMT6
I'm going to be storing my 2005 F350 diesel for two months.  Should I be
disconnecting the batteries?  I've stored gasoline autos for longer periods
(9 months) by disconnecting the battery and added fuel stabilizer, but I've
never done such with my truck.  Any special procedures ...
Power Steering problems03 Jan 2007 21:39 GMT5
Took my 89 F150 on a trip Christmas to see the family.  Trip was about
75 miles each way over some decent sized mountains.  Got there OK, but
when I went to leave I discovered I had no power steering.  The pump
was full, overflowing a little actually, and the fluid was moving.
