Went out yesterday to start the truck. About 34 degrees so waited a few seconds after light to engage ignition. Engine started and then stumbled and check engine light came on. I shut it down because it was running so rough and went out to drain the fuel. Restarted truck

My neighbor has a f-150 302 with a external voltage regulator only seems to charge 13.50 volts.Also when he unplugs one of the batt. cables the engine dies.Alternator checked at advance auto charging fine.Can anyone tell me what could be the problem?Thanks For All Replys.Bobby

My 2000 Ford Ranger with 62k miles starts up if I let it sit for a while, then it starts to sound real mufflie after about a minute at which point it bogs down and dies. Then, it usually won't start again or does just for 10-15 seconds. At this point, it just cranks over,

Where do I get really good repair manuals for the Ford Ranger? I have the Haynes from the local auto parts store and it really lacks the kind of info I need to troubleshoot. I can read and understand schematics and other engineering info. Any good ideas?

Another head-scratcher to digest and toss about: My air bag light. Sometimes, it does what it has to: turn on when starting, then shut off. But, other (unpredictable) times it will start flashing a code (3-2, methinks) and stay lit = no airbag service

I have a 2005 F350 Diesel truck. I have a question about the batteries. Are the batteries in this truck supposed to be maintenance free? Mine are not and there is a plastic covering over one battery that prevents access to the cells.

Looking throught the classifieds today i found a 1981 f150 step side 4x4 with 400 4spd. the truck has a bad clutch and needs a new one. i know that the 400 and the 460 use the same transmission, but will the 4spd hold the power of the 460. Also how hard will it be to put a 460

I've got an F140 4x4 (Off road package, extended cab) with 105K miles. I live in Minnesota where it's been quite cold of late. As expected, the tranny takes a while longer to warm up and thus to shift into overdrive.
