I'm not normally on this NG, but I have some questions I'd like to ask
folks who know more than me about this type of stuff.
I have an '86 F150 with the 4.9L straight 6 and 4 on the floor (granny
low for 1st).  Nothing fancy here, just a work truck.

How can I determine the rear axle ratio on the '89 Ford F150 4x4.  It
is not on a label on the cover as someone said it should be.  I have

My brother is looking at a 01 Ford with the 5.4L engine. He asked me
what the longevity of the Ford modular engines is expectd to be, and I
don't know.

Wow, you got to love this group.  10 or so responses on headlight issues.
However, no one answered my question as to where the headlight relay is and
if the headlight switch has a  circuit breaker builit in as in some
vehicles.
Both low beam headlights out21 May 2007 09:58 GMT16
Vehicle is a 93 Ford Ranger.  My son visited me yesterday and mentioned that
one of his headlights was out.  Upon observing, I noted that both low beams
were out.  I removed one headlight bulb and sure enough, one of the
filiments is broken.  My son swears that he had one low ...
1988 F-250 speedometer issues20 May 2007 15:52 GMT2
The "buzzing" noise coming from my speedometer has gone from intermittent to
constant, and the needle is beginning to bounce, so I'm assuming I have a
cable issue and not a speedometer problem.  The question is:  How difficult
is it to replace the speedometer cable?  4X4, 460, ...
Jerky braking18 May 2007 17:54 GMT8
I have a 2003 F-150 4x4. Only 20,000 miles on it because it was in storage
for a year and I either walk to work or take a bus.
Periodically, I feel a pulsation or vibration in my brake pedal every time I
stop, particularly when stopping from high speeds. But the brakes seem to
'81 F-150 Steering problems18 May 2007 01:35 GMT2
After replacing the power steering pump because it was making noise
and hard to steer at times, it seemed to be better for a couple of
days .  Then the pump started to groan again and as I was turning into
a parking lot the steering just froze, couldn't turn right or left.

I have a 2000 F250 SD Lariat. It has the overhead console with the

68 F-25017 May 2007 03:13 GMT1
Had my 68 F-250 Cab destroyed by a falling tree!  Still a good
runner.  Any known links that detail how to remove this cab, and what
years of truck would work/fit in replacing it.  I'm a mechanical
idiot, so, I need some detail, can an idiot do it?  Thanks
87 ford bronco2 clutch line16 May 2007 15:02 GMT8
I have an 87 bronco 2 with a 3" body lift.  I just replaced the clutch.
While putting everything back together I noticed the hydraulic clutch line is

can I do?
