| 2000 F150 Engine code | 29 Jun 2007 23:12 GMT | 1 |
I have only one check engine code, P402 - "Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Excessive Detected". The EGR valve was carboned up but appeared to be working properly. I removed it, cleaned it out with carb cleaner, replaced it, and the trouble when away. Two weeks later and the same ...

| Brakes yet again. | 29 Jun 2007 02:59 GMT | 29 |
My '89 F150 6-cyl just had its brakes go out. While I was driving down the road, I could still use them, but I was smelling them burn. I stopped the truck, sniffed around, it seems to be coming from the front passenger side. I got back in, started out, and they went down to ...

| 2002 Ford Ranger 2.3L Overheating | 28 Jun 2007 18:37 GMT | 3 |
I have an issue with my truck overheating. Basically what happens is the engine gets hot and "boils" all of the water out through the over flow tank. My truck does not have a radiator cap so you can't fill the radiator directly like I have seen in other vehicles. Now, a

| truck stuff | 28 Jun 2007 01:53 GMT | 13 |
So, some of you may recall the rear end issue with my truck. I want to try out the 4WD though. Is there a safe way to test it so that if it isn't a good match, I won't blow the transfer case. Now, I had the rear end professionally done. But, that doesn't mean

| where to buy parts? | 28 Jun 2007 00:25 GMT | 5 |
OK, I am a complete noob to Ford trucks, and indeed to Fords in general, unless you count a '76 Pinto that my mom used to have... where do I buy parts for this beast? I figured being a F-150 (that is a fairly popular model, yes?) I would have no problem? I need just a

| '93 F-150 ignition lock problem | 27 Jun 2007 17:45 GMT | 7 |
finally bought a truck, it's a '93 F-150. A friend has a similar truck and it has the exact same problem, so I am assuming that this is a common issue. When you remove the key from the ignition, the little chrome piece with the "ears" is free to rotate independently of the

| F-150 headlight question | 27 Jun 2007 16:36 GMT | 7 |
A google groups search turned up the below post. (yes, he's replying to Yours Truly.) Does anyone know what year range Daniel is referring to? I'd be interested to see if those part numbers are still good, ASSuming that 1993 falls in the range for which the below advice is

| 1999 Ford F250 Alternator Problem? | 26 Jun 2007 16:35 GMT | 3 |
I have 1999 F250 with 97000 miles that has the alternator light come on during hard acceleration. I have verified that the voltage does drop below 12V. It starts OK, and the voltage is fine at idle.

| Front tank gas gauge not reading level | 25 Jun 2007 15:53 GMT | 16 |
1992 F150, 6 cyl. I just filled the front tank to the top and notice that the gauge in the dash does not register any fuel in the tank. Switched to the rear tank, the needle registers the correct amount of gas. What do I check?

| Leaking Heater Core | 25 Jun 2007 04:59 GMT | 2 |
It appears that the heater core in my 98 F150/4.6L is leaking. the small puddle of Antifreeze under the truck and smell from the vents seem to match the symptoms for a leaking core. Would there be any problem with disconnecting the hoses and connecting a bypass hose until I get ...

| 2002 Ford truck problem | 24 Jun 2007 17:30 GMT | 3 |
After the recall on the brake switch had been repaired, a plethora of problems followed. My truck would not go into gear, the cruise controll would not work, the back up lights stayed on, 4 wheel drive would go in and out on it's own, the interior fan would not work,

| 79 F350 No shocks in back | 20 Jun 2007 04:37 GMT | 60 |
I recently bought an 1979 F350. Starting to fix it up a little and discovered while changing out the shocks that there are none in the rear. I see no evidence of there ever having been any either. I wondered if
