Previously, my problem was removing the headlight and wiper knobs.  I was
able to get by that OK.
Now, my minor dash light not working problem has become a real problem.
One of the turn signal indicator lights will not blink - the left one works

Odd problem with a '99 Ranger my son bought the other day.  
The Door Ajar light was on solid and the previous owner had pulled
the dome light fuse.  WD-40'ed the door switches and the Door Ajar
light now works as it should, but the dome light still remains on

I have been looking at some mid to late 80's F150's and F250's. The ones
that had manual transmissions were all 4 speeds where first gear is a
"granny gear". Is this normal? I would think that most of the transmission
would be geared more like a car and not have the granny gear.

I have a 97 Ranger extended cab XLT.  My turn signal switch was
intermittant in the right turn position and has now stopped working
all together.  It still works for the left turn position.  Could this
be a burned out turn signal bulb, or is it probably the switch?  Is

4.6L Triton. I call this my Redneck Truck - 4x4 with the Offroad
Package. It sits high.
It looks like there is plenty of room to move around between the
fenders. So I think I am going to do this one myself.

I need to change the turn signal indicator bulb in the dash but having a
problem removing the knobs for headlight and wipers.
I loosened the plastic cover held on with three screws at top of dash but
cannot completely remove it unless the knobs are removed.  I believe that

I have a 97 Ranger XLT 4x4, 4.0 6 cylinder with 118k miles.  The
engine has been running rough and often "bucks" while driving.  The
check engine light is on full time.  Any ideas what might be wrong?

I've been noticing that the locks on my 2001 Ranger XLT are becoming
harder and harder to unlock with the key. I have to wiggle and jiggle
it to finally get it to release the lock. Anything I could do, short
of taking the door apart?

Was loading CDs in the 6-CD changer when this error came on.  Now it won't
play, change or unload CDs. It gives the CD error code and quits.
Anyone know what's up and how to fix it?  How involved is it to pull the
plastic trim and replace the CD changer?

I've got a 9 f-150 4.9 auto and I've replaced the rear pump, eec
relay, fuel relay, reset the cut off, replaced the ign module,
replaced the start relay, but I still have no power to the pumps.

Symptoms:
The classic symptom of bad valve stem seals is, if when starting the car,
after it has set for a little while (say over night), clouds of smoke appear
from the exhaust and then stops after a few seconds. What happens is, while

We have a 94 Ranger V6 2x4.  The engine was high mileage and had a
head gasket leak and was consuming oil.  We replaced the engine with a
Jasper remanufactured engine.  Everything seems fine with one
exception:  it dies while driving with no warning.
