98 B4000 How do the two clear lights go on each side of the third     brake light ?16 Mar 2008 01:53 GMT1
There are lamps there but they are not for backup and I have never
seen them on before.
2005 F-150 Electrical Issue15 Mar 2008 06:13 GMT5
Randomly my lights, inside and out will dim for aprox 5 seconds and then go
back to normal, the blower will slow also if it's on. I have tried to shut
off everything  and this still happens. The dealership has changed the
battery, (because it was a little low??) but can't find ...
Truck Bed15 Mar 2008 03:36 GMT4
The bed of my son's "new" 1974 truck is rusted through, and has damage
to the sides and the front edges are crinkled and wadded up and can not
be properly straitened.
So, we decided that a replacement should be found. I have spent several
Clutch reservoir/line problems14 Mar 2008 00:01 GMT8
I thought I had this problem licked a few months ago, but it has
reared its ugly head again. Once in a while, and now with increasing
regularity, my clutch fluid seems to mysteriously dissappear. I do not
have any leak spots on the garage floor, and no signs of fluid
those crappy Ford dash vents12 Mar 2008 22:40 GMT14
I bet someone's already figured this out, but I figured I'd post in
case a couple of you might not have...  I've got a '93 F-150, actually
pretty good shape overall although both bumpers need attention.  But
inside, those crappy vent assemblies made it look very ghetto, because
Distributor swap.12 Mar 2008 04:58 GMT9
Can I put a points distributor from an earlier model ('70s) into a
newer model 460 that had a different ignition system (i.e. magnetic/
tfi) ??
DTC P0301 Misfire #1 Cylinder11 Mar 2008 03:38 GMT6
Would it be safe to say that a misfire on one cylinder only would have
to be the plug coil? I've cleaned the plug wire, injectors, pcv valve,
mas sensor, you name it. I can't cure the rough idle, and pinging when
accelerating. Thanks in advance. Barry
How To wire distibutor directly to the coil 460 addition to 1972 ford     truck11 Mar 2008 01:56 GMT6
I just dropped a 460 into my 1972 f100.  I dont have any of the
electronics from the 1983 f250 that the motor came out of, so I need
to wire the distributor directly to the coil (if possible).  If anyone
has a clue please fill me in!! Thank you.
1986 F-150 Couple of Issues10 Mar 2008 03:56 GMT7
I have an 1986 F-150 with the 351 engine, automatic, XLT model.
For the most part the truck is in great shape and runs good.
Problem 1:
I have noticed that I seem to smell gas anytime I get near the truck. I

Ranger 4 liter08 Mar 2008 05:26 GMT1
About 6 months ago I purchased a '97 Ranger XLT with the 4.0 liter
engine and 117k miles.  So far the engine has run great, aside from a
cracked spark plug.  I discovered this news group after buying the
truck, so I didn't have the opportunity to post questions before
'68 F100 door lock Question05 Mar 2008 16:55 GMT5
On my '68 you lock door from outside w/key when leaving it. In later
years they added feature where you could push down lock knob before
closing door, then hold in the outside door button, close door, and it
would be locked.
A TRICK!  Broken Expedition rear lift gate handle05 Mar 2008 15:41 GMT1
OK, so I broke that sucker right in half!  And good ol' FORD...it wants $158
for a new one.
First thing to know is...it's really easily to get out and off.
I took some plaster of paris and made a mold of the good half, then flipped
1990 7.3 diesel problem05 Mar 2008 04:04 GMT1
I was coming home-climbing 7000 ft pass and my engine started cutting out.
However, it was cutting out when I took my foot off the pedal-not when
applying fuel.  I nursed it home, but because a much snow have just not used
it.  It's really too cold outside for much ...
