| 1993 F150 Battery Cables Getting Too Short - Install New Cables or Splice Kits? | 28 Aug 2008 03:06 GMT | 2 |
The battery cables are getting too short to cut and re-attach to posts again (it's been done at least once before and another time won't reach the post connectors). The problem is after a few years most of the strands in the exposed cable ends re-corrode and the ends have to

| E-150 Transmission | 12 Aug 2008 16:43 GMT | 4 |
My 2001 E-150 transmission will not shift from 2d to 3d gear. It goes into a free wheeling mode instead, and the RPM increases dramatically, if you continue to try to accelerate. Sounds expensive, of course. How potentially expensive are we talkin' here?

Any gotchas about these trucks? have a line on one, 240/3spd. would like to know anything other than the usual old car stuff to look for when inspecting it. I need it like I need a hole in my head, but it's cute, doesn't appear to be too rusty, and it's for sale.

| Premature Brake Rotor wear??( '90 E150) | 05 Aug 2008 13:56 GMT | 8 |
I replaced the rotors and pads on my '90 E150 van about 3 months ago, using Pep Boys "Prostop" pads & their Chinese rotors. I'm not new to this, having been driving and repairing E150's for over 20 years, always using "aftermarket" rotors, originally JCWhitney, and in the
