what color for original painted bumpers (93)28 Jul 2009 20:36 GMT2
anyone know what's a good match (preferably rattle can) for the original
bumper paint on my truck?  Friend has offered a painted front bumper
that's nearly pristine but the paint is baked.  I think he's going to
try to trade his truck in to take advantage of the gov't program.  ...

Hi again,
In a conversation with a truck mechanic, octane came up.
My 2002 F53 chassis with a V10 has only been run on 87 octane.
He went into a discussion about lower octane firing more suddenly
2002 F53 with V10 and broken manifold studs24 Jul 2009 18:50 GMT5
I'm told that the only long term fix for broken manifold studs on 2002 F53
V10 is to replace the cast iron ford manifolds
with after market headers.
I did some searching and after market headers are not bolt on options. They
quality of aftermarket bumper chrome?20 Jul 2009 15:49 GMT6
need... well, want... a replacement front bumper for my '93 F-150.  Not
only did the PO dent it in for me, but the chrome has not aged well.
Any opinions on the chrome on aftermarket replacement bumpers?  I see
that LMC sells two different "levels" of chrome, is it worth paying ...
Jet Truck, in action20 Jul 2009 05:53 GMT4
Again, my son's '06 F-650 7000 HP Jet Truck, this time in action, at a
monster truck show in LaPorte, IN. The video was made by a fan. It was a
small venue, not allowing for full acceleration. Mebbe a fan at a dragstrip
will come up with a video soon.

After Market Cruise Control for F-15016 Jul 2009 02:28 GMT1
Hello all.  I have a 2003 F-150 with a manual transmission.  It is a
base model truck and I was looking for a good after-market cruise
control kit to install in it.  Has anyone ever tried one of these?  I
am concerned about it not performing properly, like dropping speed

I have a 2001 F250 SD gas, with 5 speed manual tranny.
Both the manual and the tag on the tranny says to use  " Ford part #

It's the "or equivalent" that I am interested in, since the Ford

Stuck In Park12 Jul 2009 15:21 GMT7
I have a 2006 F-150 with the 5.4 engine and auto transmission.  The only
problem that I have had with it is with the transmission sticking in park.
This only happens occasionally and the two times that I took it in under
warranty, the dealer could not find anything wrong.  They ...
Front Brakes12 Jul 2009 05:08 GMT4
I want to change the front brakes on an 87 Ford F150.  There doesn't
seem to be a bolt to take the calipers off, but rather some strange
sort of clip device.  Does anyone have any knowledge of this?  How do
the calipers come off?
