| 98 Sable - Extra Speaker Hole in Rear Deck | 29 Apr 2004 02:42 GMT | 7 |
My '98 Mercury Sable has a third hole in the rear deck exactly like the holes in which the rear left/right speakers are mounted. What is the purpose for this extra hole? Did they have an extra rear speaker should one happen to order a premium sound system or something?

| 98 Sable - Steering Wheel Jiggles when Braking | 29 Apr 2004 02:27 GMT | 2 |
When braking in my '98 Sable, the steering wheel jiggles. My dad says I probably have warped rotors because I used "lifetime" brake pads which get the rotors a lot hotter than regular brake pads which are softer. I do trust his judgment most of the time since he ran his own garage ...

| 98 Sable - Sticky Radio Buttons | 29 Apr 2004 00:20 GMT | 1 |
The buttons on my new radio in my '98 Sable "stick" a lot. When I push the button, it has no give to it at all. I have to put considerable force behind my finger and then the button pops and can be pushed. This is most evident when the A/C has gotten the cabin really cold.

| 99 Taurus - woop woop sound from the rear at low speed? | 28 Apr 2004 15:59 GMT | 1 |
Anyone have an idea what this is? Only at low speed like under 5 mph...Sounds kind of like a rear differential on a RWD car going bad, but obviously I know that isn't it. The rear brakes are going - could this have anything to do with it?

| Defroster causes drop in mpg | 27 Apr 2004 19:04 GMT | 9 |
ok - here's the situation: I have been keeping track of gas milage on my '96 tbird 4.6, and when I don't run the defroster, I get between 25 and 26 mpg. I ran a tank through with the defroster on and I get just over 20 mpg. Is this signaling the A/C going out? Is this much of a

| Aerostar leaking water inside vehicle-passenger side | 27 Apr 2004 18:04 GMT | 2 |
Has anyone had a problem with a water leak inside the van on the passenger side? Is this the heater core leaking or could it be just a hose problem? Does the Aerostar heater control turn off the water flow to the heater

| Rear brakes on 1 99 Taurus | 27 Apr 2004 13:59 GMT | 1 |
My wifes 99 Taurus rear drum brakes seem to lock and squeal when she first leaves. You can hear the brakes squeak just before they lock. It does this enough to leave marks on the concrete at only 5 mph. It does have ABS and it seems to function at regular speeds. The squeal will ...

| 89 Lincoln Towncar Sputtering / No Guts | 27 Apr 2004 05:21 GMT | 7 |
I have a 89 Lincoln Towncar 5.0L with 148k miles. It has idle through mid range roughness. The Bosch platnium spark plugs have maybe 10K on them and I recently changed the EGR valve and the EVP sensor in response to scan codes. That cleared up the symptoms for about five days ...

1993 Escort, 1.9l, 160,000k. The shifting was occasionally a little stiff into and out of 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Starting a week ago, it gets stuck in 5th gear. Car shop said it was the clutch, and replaced it. Now all other gears feel fine, but 5th still sticks. I can not shift
