99 Sable - front caliper replacement27 Apr 2004 01:25 GMT13
I had my Sable in for a brake job.  They called me to say one of my
calipers was seized and need to be replaced.  I say ok.
When I get down there the job is $850 for 4 wheels, and I find they
replaced both front calipers.  When I asked why, they indicated that you
Rebuilding 3.8 V6 in 1989 Mercury Cougar LS26 Apr 2004 23:27 GMT5
I have a 1989 Mercury Cougar LS with 140k on the clock and I'm debating
wether or not I should have the engine rebuilt by 150k or 160k.  The car
runs fine, no smoking, funny smells or odd noises from under the hood and
the rest of the car, including the paint is pretty close to ...
1994 Taurus brake problems26 Apr 2004 22:08 GMT2
I wonder if anybody has run into this before.  The brakes on the left rear
wheel overheats (can't touch the wheel after a long trip).  The pads wore
very fast.  I changed the pads and the caliper thinking it was sticking.
The problem persists with the new caliper.  It has disk ...
headlight adjustment26 Apr 2004 19:31 GMT1
I have a 1999 f-250 with f-150 cab. I need to adjust the headlights. I
can see the adjustment rods, but can't reach them. Also, I can't find
a specialty tool for it, if it requires one.
1995 Taurus front end problem26 Apr 2004 15:03 GMT4
While making a right turn I felt something 'give' in the front end and
the steering wheel had to be helped back into straight position.  Now
the steering wheel is at 10 and 4 o'clock position for the car to go
straight.  Our mechanic had it and decided it was a broken bolt in the

strange problem - 97 taurus -3.026 Apr 2004 14:00 GMT6
car ran fine when parked it.  went to start it and it behaves like it's
getting fire to one or two cylinders only.  this only lasts about the
first four or five revs of the engine, then, it acts like it's flooded.
i can let it sit and come back to it and it does the same thing.  ...
RHD large sedans?26 Apr 2004 12:20 GMT1
I was just wondering which large 4-door sedans Ford make in a
right-hand-drive version. For instance, I don't see any Crown
Victorias outside North America, so I'm guessing they're all LHD. I
only really see the smaller Mondeo in Europe, although Australia's

escape hatch26 Apr 2004 03:31 GMT1
My Ford Escape hatch door won't open.  The electric lock mechanism sounds as
if it is working, but the door "handle" does nothing, and it doesn't feel as
if it is connected inside to anything (no resistance).  The manual says to
open the door and remove the plastic on the inside to ...

rear view mirror on topaz25 Apr 2004 19:06 GMT3
I have a 93 Topaz and the rear view mirror on the windshield fell off.
How do I get the button out of the mirror to glue back on the windshield?
I've done this before on different cars and they had a screw (allen or torx)
and it was a piece of cake. But this one only has a little ...
