Wheel Bearings19 Apr 2004 04:20 GMT2
I have a 99 Merc Mountaineer (Ford Explorer). The truck has 42k miles.
It was making a loud humming front end noise, which was the result of
a bad front wheel bearing and the other front bearing going bad. I had
them replaced and the problem is solved, although an $800 job.

Freestar rear seating18 Apr 2004 14:56 GMT4
Anyone look at the Freestar.  They made it so the 3rd row seat folds
into the car.  In order to do that, they made the seat real thin and
raised the floor.  It now feels like just a hard bench seat.  They
took a real comfortable seat that the winstar had and turned it into

Just today I experienced a problem with the interior lights of my T-Bird

at my feet and in the key holes is staying on.  I am worried about my

I have a 1995 Ford Windstar 3.6 or is it .8
The transmission last week started to shift hard and jerk when it went from
1st to 2nd gear. 2nd to 3th shifts fine and overdrive is OK. The fluid level is
OK and the transmission seems fine other than that one problem.
2002 Taurus shocking me everytime I get out.18 Apr 2004 03:59 GMT12
Everytime I get out of my 02 Taurus and close the door, I get
shocked. I've tried looking in my area auto part store for the
old-fashioned grounding straps (the kind you bolt to the frame and
drag on the road) but I can't find them.
