Ford Focus Fumes13 Jul 2004 22:08 GMT2
I have a Ford Fiesta on a UK P reg (1997 model). I was recently running low
on engine oil and so decided to fill it up. Nonetheless, like a plonker, I
poured 5 litres into the engine (which now seems a bit excessive!) Since
then, when I start my car after leaving it for 12 hours or ...

I have a '98 Mercury Sable w/ V6 overhead cam.
Back in December 2003 I had the radiator replaced because it was leaking.
Everything has been grand.  No problems whatsoever.
Last month, the temperature suddenly climbed very quickly.  It was the

Check out this Ford 500 site. Lots of good info. I don't know if I'm going
to buy one yet (I have a 2000 Taurus).... since it looks like it's the
Taurus replacement. I like AWD though.

1995 Ford Aerostar Tranny Control Module?12 Jul 2004 10:25 GMT3
I inherited my dad's 95 Ford Aerostar.  The transmission slips when
it's cold but once it warms up it runs very strong.  It can climb San
Francisco hills with no problem.  Couple years ago a mechanic told my
dad that the control module needs replacing.  Aparently, it's an
1996 Ford Aerostar Question12 Jul 2004 03:21 GMT1
I have a 1996 For d Aerostar and it has been running ok for quite awhile.
Recently, it has started running like I am sitting in an Apache helicopter.
The engine idles pretty rough and sounds like an F150 with big pipes the
higher the RPM's get. It has started to lose power and has a ...

Have a mint no winters 88 Turbo Coupe that I allowed to sit too long in
garage, now has big tranny leak, suspect seal has dried up from sitting

Left-hand vs Right-hand drive cars11 Jul 2004 14:42 GMT8
I want to order a headlights for my Ford from UK (right-hand drive).
My car is made in Germany (left-hand drive).
Will this headlight fit in my car?
PS I want to order from UK, because I found cheap headlights there.
88 Ford T-bird with AOD tranny11 Jul 2004 13:00 GMT10
I was wondering what would cause my transmission not to have OD? It has
proper fluid level, the guy I bought it from said he took out the OD pump,
is there such a thing? It shifts a little late, havent looked at TV cable
yet, thats the next step I was gonna take, let me know if ...
93 Taurus - how to remove washer switch on turn signal lever11 Jul 2004 11:52 GMT4
My windshield washer quit.  The motor is good, only no power to the motor.
The intermittent wiper capability only works when the lever end is jiggled.
The constant low and high wipers work fine.  I think the switch contacts
need cleaning.  Is disassembly of the switch possible?
Aerostar alternator question10 Jul 2004 19:23 GMT9
Im trying to test my alternator circuitry for my 91 Aerostar 3.0. The dammed
fuse link keeps burning out and the haynes book gives some steps on testing.
One of the steps is to touch the "F screw" with the positive of a Voltmeter
while the other on the case. My question is...... ...
CV AXLE FAILURE10 Jul 2004 19:20 GMT5
Found this link on blueoval news about CV axle failure.
http://blueovalnews.com/2004/recalls/crownvic.04s16.axle.070704.htm
The fix seems to be just a new axles shaft and bearing.
Using the same housing, how could the fix be that much better

98 Taurus Door Lock Module10 Jul 2004 02:47 GMT1
Does anyone know where the receiver module is located for the keyless door
locks?  I couple of years ago on a humid day I hit my key FOB and the
locks chattered a few times and the key FOB has not worked since.
Replaced the battery and the trunk works.  I am assuming it is a relay ...
