Has anyone here replaced the bushings on the strut rods on the front ends of
these cars?  I think Ford calls it the "torsion strut".  The shop I went to
for oil change and tire rotation said one was shot and the other was going.
I haven't crawled under there yet, it's monsoon ...
Ford 5.0 HO coolant hose restrictor?30 Aug 2004 19:48 GMT6
Sorry for the cross-posting, but I wasn't sure where this would go...  It's
not in a Mustang, but I'm told tons of the parts are the same.  Anyways:

Anyone know of any real easy way to get behind the intake at the back of the
engine to replace the pcv valve on a 5.0l? Aside from sending in trained

doors stick - '03 focus30 Aug 2004 15:10 GMT4
Ever since new the doors are difficult to unlatch. All 4 do the same thing,
they will open but you really have to give it a tug. It is definitely the
latch, not the fit of the door itself. I played with moving the post a
little and throwing grease on it all to no avail. I can't ...
93 Mustang speedometer swap question30 Aug 2004 04:06 GMT1
I swapped my 85mph speedo for a 140mph speedo. Will this affect the
accuracy of the speedo? I'm asking if the speedometer gear at the
transmission end of the cable has to be changed or if both 85 and 140
speedos would be accurate without doing anything else.

My friend has a 98 taurus with auto-type climate controls.  No matter
where the temperature is set, the system only delivers hot air to the
passenger cabin.  All the other features seem to work fine:
2000 Taurus ignition key replacement29 Aug 2004 21:42 GMT4
We bought a clean 2000 Taurus for our college bound daughter.  The previous
owner had one ignition key and said this key can only be duplicated at a
Ford dealership at a cost of $60.00 - $100.00  Something about a computer
chip in the key.
1998 Escort - Air conditioner on except when set for foot area.29 Aug 2004 18:57 GMT2
Recently, I find that the air conditioning is on unless I set it to the
foot area.
Is this likely to be the switch, or is it maybe caused by the defrost
feature that turns on the air conditioning with warmer temperatures?
