The Excursion is gone already?03 Oct 2004 23:44 GMT3
I guess I'm out of touch with the SUV market...I was reading a post on
the new Ford 500 fan site that listed a bunch of retired Ford models,
and it said the Excursion was from '00 to '04...is it really
discontinued? I thought they were ridiculous, personally, and I didn't
1994 Ford F150 14 Bolt Automatic Transmission Filter Change03 Oct 2004 18:54 GMT5
I have the above pick-up and dropped the transmission pan gasket to
change the filter and fluid (transmission was slipping a little).
Seems to have gone OK except I found a small plastic "plunger" in the
bottom of the pan.  The manual doesn't mention anything about it, and
non-dealer computer interface with OBD 1 system ?03 Oct 2004 18:29 GMT1
Anyone know of a Cable / Software package that you can get aftermarket that
will interface with OBD1 Systems
If available, it would be used on a 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis  and possibly
a 87 Mercury Cougar
93 Tempo Hi Revs03 Oct 2004 17:39 GMT1
I have a 93 Tempo, standard transmission. Only after the car has been
running for a while and when I release the gas pedal and start to gear down
for a traffic light or such, the engine will continue to rev at about 3,000
rpm. I usually put the car in neutral, kick it down a couple ...

Here it is  1992 Bronco XLT, 5.8L,  E40D, 180,000 miles. Everything work
fine except for the fuel gauge. It started moving up and down the scale even
though the tank is full. Settled out at 1/4 of a tank then moves up and down
. Just started after a
body parts02 Oct 2004 16:46 GMT4
I, unfortunately, ran the front of my Grand Marquis under an SUV
bumper. I only broke the grille, the fiberglass in front of the hood,
and the chrome strip and emblem (its a 94 model).
I can replace all of these parts, its just lots of little nuts and

Sable Rotors01 Oct 2004 16:18 GMT5
Need advice.  I've had two Sables over the past 7 years and they all
developed warped front rotors in the first 35000 miles. My latest a 2002
model just started at 37000 miles.  Should I turn them down or by after
market units.  Thanks
Crown Vic Heater Core01 Oct 2004 14:35 GMT7
How much of a horror is it to change the heater core in a 94 Crown
Victoria?  I'm thinking of buying one, but I heard labor is $500 just to change
the heater core. Is it a job that a shadetree mech  can do in a day ? I heard
the dash has to come out !

I have a 1998 Taurus with 3.0 engine I'm putting a trailer hitch on.
When I went to buy the wiring adaptor to add the trailer plug to the

said it was so expensive because of a computer isolation module. After
