newbie to E-150 van maintenance wants to change spark plugs and PCV valve20 Nov 2004 17:22 GMT10
Actually, I own a 1998 Ford Chateau, which must be the same as an E-150, for
tune-up purposes.  It has a 5.4L V8 engine.  This is a "half-ton" rated
vehicle.  It has operated wonderfully.
The engine sputters a bit now, noticeably when starting up from a standing

Damn tranny blew up in my E-35020 Nov 2004 00:25 GMT2
The damn tranny blew up in my E-350 at only 286,000 miles.  Guess Ford
still can't build things to last.  At least the V-10 in it was still
going strong.

Coolant Leak18 Nov 2004 22:05 GMT3
Have a 1988 3.6 Thunderbird.  Just noticed a coolant leak from the evaporator housing drain tube.  Right away I'm thinking heater core.  Really do not want to tear into this for a possible replacement.  Anyone with ideas?   My thoughts (a) thinking about a back flush just in case ...

05 Mustang Gt18 Nov 2004 13:45 GMT17
I like the looks and powertrain of the 05 Mustang GT, so, I am thinking of
buying one. What do you people know about them?  It will only be driven on nice
days, not an everyday car. Do you think it will become a collectors item? Would
it be possible to have the dealer swap rims with ...
Oil Usage18 Nov 2004 04:34 GMT6
I have a 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis with the 5.0 and AOD, of course.  It has
209,000+ miles.  While it still runs great and shifts firmly, it does use
quite a bit of oil, about a quart every 400-500 miles.  I wish it was a
leak, but it's not.

the fastback was more popular, I understand that there were not very
many coupes made (comparatively).  My father was the original owner
