Whenever the compressor kicks on in my 98 Sable 3.0 OHV, there's a clacking
sound and the belt "ripples". I mean the belt just vibrates something
terrible. This just started happening in the last few nights after I got
it back from an $1,133 transmission repair...or at least ...

I have a 1997 Ford F150 4x4 pickup
4x4, a/t, with 65K miles on it.
Service engine light came on: P401
Exhuast Gas Recirculation Flow

Symptom: No power past the relay. I assume no juice to any part of the
vehicle- '99 Ranger 4 cyl. mtx. Battery is charged, nothing obvious
disconnected, fused or broken. By no power past the realy, I mean just that.
Put the key in the igniton, nothing, you can turn the thing over ...

I thought the Taurus and Sable were going away? I thought the Montego was
replacing the Sable. Yet the Mercury website is now listing a 2005 Sable,
as well as the Montego. I hope this means the recent news about their
discontinuation is a nasty rumor.
