Ignition problems on early 80's Ford inline 6 21 Dec 2004 14:24 GMT2
I'm working on an early 80's Ford sedan with an inline 6, and single barrel
carb. The engine is turning over, but not firing. I'm not getting any spark
from the coil - due to the fact that the negative terminal has a constant
ground. The positive terminal has 12 volts (as it should) ...
Did You Know21 Dec 2004 13:22 GMT7
I recently bought a 2004 left over mustang for my 79 year old Mother  (She
chose whatever car she wanted)  She is having a bit of difficulty seeing the
speedometer in bright sunshine and wanted the white face gauges like in my
Thunderbird.  No problem, Ford sells the part,  yea its ...
TIP: Aerostar heater core replacement21 Dec 2004 12:52 GMT3
One of the hazards encountered buying a beater is that you'd better pay
attention to any tidbits thrown your way by the previous owner.
In this case, "heater sprung a little leak, but some stop-leak took care of
it"
Brake Light Situation21 Dec 2004 10:30 GMT2
I recently had my annual vehicle inspection on my 1994 Ford Ranger. The
inspectors discovered that all of the lights work properly, with the
exception of my brake lights. When the brakes are applied, the brake
lights do not illuminate. All the fuses were checked, all the lights
F150 Computer Tuning21 Dec 2004 04:56 GMT1
Is it worth it for me to get the computer in my truck tuned?  My truck is a
92 F150, 351W.  I have added headers, MSD ignition components and a
supercharger.  I currently live at an elevation of 6200 feet.  I have never
tuned the computer at all and don't even know if it is ...

been running well till today.
I turn the key, it starts up fine but when I let the key go and it
returns to normal running position the engine stops and sounds like it
Newer Ranger wheels on a 1990 ranger???20 Dec 2004 20:31 GMT4
I want to purchase some newer Ranger Rims for my 1990 Ranger with 14"
wheels.  Are all ranger rims compatable or do I need to purchase wheels
within a particular year?  My desire is to use the old steel wheels to
mount and keep the snow tires on and buy some nice spun wheels for the
Turn Signal20 Dec 2004 14:46 GMT4
A couple of weeks ago I had some wires get wrapped around the steering
column and break.  The brake light wire came off and shorted.  I replaced
the fuse and fixed all the wires and now everything seems to be working fine
except the turn signals.  They don't come on at all.  The ...

Focus Question18 Dec 2004 22:36 GMT3
I have rented several Ford Focus automobiles recently.  I noticed
that they all have a groove to the left of the parking brake lever
with a plastic clip on it.  What is supposed to go there?  It could
hold a pen or a tire pressure gauge. Or maybe the antenna from the
'56 Ford Sunliner Parts18 Dec 2004 04:16 GMT3
I am putting this on this NG for my brother whom is building a '56 Ford
Sunliner convertible. He needs the aluminum skelton top for this vehicle. I
have found LOTS of places that supply the fabric top, but none where I would
find the skelton structure that the top attaches to. ...
97 Taurus 3.0 Vulcan Cam Position Sensor Function?18 Dec 2004 04:09 GMT4
The second cheapo little plastic rotor/magnet in the cam position sensor
apparently has failed again in my 3.0 Vulcan at 126K.  The original one
failed about two years ago during a period of very cold weather (brittle
fracture?).   Explains the hi rep rate tapping I recently heard ...
2002 Sable RCU17 Dec 2004 23:15 GMT1
I've seen some post saying 'behind the wheel well, under the radio'.
I just don't see it.  I've pulled up that stiff carpet stuff as far as I
could.
Anyone been there?

I have a 1990 Tempo with a 2.3 litre 4 cyl engine.  Vin has an X for those
who can diferrentiate the type.  It has developed an issue with stalling.
It has no problem starting and running.  The stalling happens when the car
comes to a signal light or stop sign.  When I try to ...
