Hey group.  Have read hundreds of Windstar-related posts.  Some
obvious trends show up.  What I'm wondering is if there's a year model
at which one could say the two biggies-head gasket and tranny, were
finally corrected.

right hand ex. manifold will start leaking at gasket in a period of a
couple of months.I have a set of heat shields and gaskets to install but
do not know and can anyone tell me location of heat shield and
gasket.Does heat shield go against head or manifold? Please help

I need a new engine for a R reg '98 fiesta 1400 zetec and am having
difficulty in find one, has anyone replaced one with a 1.25 as they look
identical. My main concern is the engine management side.

I have a 2000 Focus with a Zetec engine. My engine has almost 100,000 km  on
it and is due for a timing belt change.
Has anyone changed this belt on their own?   if so what problems did they
have????

A little piston or plunger and an o-ring was in the bottom of the auto trans
oilpan. No other hardware (springs, retainers, etc) were in the pan.  The
plunger and o-ring was found before removing the filter.  What are they and
where did they come from?  Any help?

Gentlemen,
  I'm freezing my butt off in my 1983 Mark VI because I'm getting
very little heat.  I've replaced the ambient air sensor in the dash
and checked for restrictions in the heater core.  Also have replaced

To what extend can rust be expected on a brand new car?

I have a  88 Ford Merkur Scorpio that needs I think ignition timing.
I cannot find nor see the notch (with my timing light blink) on the bottom
wheel usualy refered to for timing.
Is it possible that it is so far off in the timing that the notch is under
