Yellowing headlamps29 Jan 2005 02:10 GMT4
The headlamp lenses on my 1995 Crown Vic are looking pretty yellow and
opaque. Is the cheapest, effective solution to just attach a buffer or
whatever to the end of my drill and use some cleaning or polishing
solution on the lens with the lamp still in place, or is it not that
03 Ford F150: windshield wipers suddenly stopped working28 Jan 2005 21:52 GMT3
2003 F150 Supercrew, 17,000 miles.
Yesterday, while driving in the rain with my wipers on, the wipers
suddenly stopped. Never had any previous problems of any kind with
wipers.  No warning at all. Nothing has ever been done on wiper motors

I need to replace the transmission on this car. Ford has two different ones,
the AOXD and the AX4N. Are they interchangeable?
Thanks

Graphic Display - Electrical Troubleshooting Escort28 Jan 2005 04:33 GMT2
Maybe there's a Ford mechanic somewhere that can point me in the right
direction.
I have one of those graphic display modules that were popular in the
late eighties and early nineties in the console.  When I use the right
95 Taurus Trans. vacuum?28 Jan 2005 03:27 GMT2
After searching everywhere I can think of on the net here goes:
Does anyone know if a 1995 Taurus sedan, 3.0 has a transmission vacuum
line for any reason?  I'm assuming everything is electronic but can't
seem to account for a substantial continued loss of transmission fluid

Multi-function switch 96 Windstar27 Jan 2005 14:12 GMT1
Can a multi-function on a '96 Windstar be changed without pulling the
steering wheel?  Also has anyone had any luck using contact cleaner to clean
the wiper switch contacts.  The wiper is intermittent at best, but I'm not
sure of the location of the contacts or where to spray.  ...
Cold starting question26 Jan 2005 19:20 GMT4
Last week when the temperature drop below 20 degree C (-11.2F) plus wind
chill, my car won't
start, it does crank over but won't fire up. I left the car alone for
several days outside at work then have it towed to a garage today.  Well

Coil replacement?26 Jan 2005 15:33 GMT13
I solved my problem with the IAC valve that was faulty, but I still lack
some power. My plugs are relatively new (2500Km).
But I checked my coil, and if I trust Haynes manual, my coil needs
replacement.
Ford falcon 200026 Jan 2005 10:38 GMT4
Cant find any Australian content but i'll ask the question anyway.
Have 2000 ford falcon and when the engine is hot and mainly when it is under
load the engine will misfire or cut out intermittently. It is worse on a hot
day, but it doesnt always happen under these conditions. ...
$.09 fix for Grand Marquis power window26 Jan 2005 04:19 GMT30
I fixed my wife's '92 Grand Marquis' rear passenger power window motor
this weekend for less than a dime in parts. Instead of getting the ~$30
kit that replaces the gears for the window motor, I decided to try using
3 ea 1/4x20 nuts from the local Home Depot at $.03 each. I'm ...
87 T-Bird misfiring26 Jan 2005 02:04 GMT1
I have an 87 T-Bird, V6, auto, 187,xxx miles.  In the last couple of months, it
has developed a misfire when driving 'in-town' speeds.  It seems all right on
the highway and when idling.  It does this when the engine is cold or warm, and
it's done it in cold weather and warmer temps ...
