Aerostar Gurgles15 Jan 2005 21:55 GMT5
I seem to have air in my cooling system.  I can hear a gurgle sound from
the heater core when I accelerate from an idle (don't hear it at idle)
The Engine doesn't overheat, and I can see the T-Stat working on the gauge
Warms to 1/2 way up the gauge, and then the gauge falls, showing ...
Oil Sending Unit... 1989 Aerostar15 Jan 2005 20:05 GMT3
I have a 1989 Ford Aerostar that has an oil drip at the sending unit seal.
Only can be seen under pressure, shut the car off, and it's not there, but
you can wipe the drip clean, and it comes back... the sending unit is
right above the drain plug, correct?
1989 Ford Aerostar Sags?15 Jan 2005 19:49 GMT4
1989 Aerostar sags to one side... it was subtle at first, but now it is
starting to make me worry.  If you look at the van from behind, the left
side, (drivers) tilts about 5 degrees down.
I'm sure it's springs?.  2 questions: 1) should I replace both sides, and
1999 F150 XLT Sound System/Radio Question15 Jan 2005 18:29 GMT2
I have a 1999 F150 XLT with a factory AM/FM/cassette. I'm interested in
installing a Ford 6-CD unit in its place. I don't know much about wiring
compatibility and whether or not it has or needs a separate amp. How can I
tell if a unit I'm looking at fits the dash and the existing ...
89 Aerostar - Brakes15 Jan 2005 10:55 GMT5
I have a slight fade in my Brake pedal.  I noticed the other day, that the
fluid was REALLY low, so I got some DOT 3 and topped it off...
Drove it for 100 miles, start and stopping... pumping brakes, etc...
checked the fluid level, still full...

than one year old.  still smells ok - not stale.  can't hear the pump
run when key is turned on.  fuel shut off trip and fuel pump relay is ok

Aligning a 1990 Ford Escort to 1991-96 specs14 Jan 2005 19:14 GMT1
Can someone riddle me this...
I had my car aligned today at a shop, it was a little better, but still
a little off, which could be for many reasons other than the alignment.
But, I took a look tonight at the report the manager gave me, the

89 Escort Engine Diagnostics/Help14 Jan 2005 17:42 GMT1
Sorry for the cross posting....

good price for 05 T-birds?14 Jan 2005 14:35 GMT1
Since these are not hotter-than-pancake sellers anymore, anybody got a
rough idea of what a good price for an 05 T-Bird would be?  Or a new
04?  I'm in Calif and am in the market for an American convertible and
am vascillating between the Sebring, T-Bird, or waiting for the ragtop
1990 Escort GT, Battery Dies14 Jan 2005 06:04 GMT12
Just wondering where to start chasing down the reason why if my car
sits for a few days the battery dies.  This seems to have happened
about three times with two different batteries on particularly damp
mornings.
Engine on 5 or 4 cylinders14 Jan 2005 05:47 GMT16
I have a bad rod bearing on my 94 Sable and I want to replace the engine but
not in the
winter. If I disconnect the spark plug and injector so that the affected
cylinder doesn't fire will the engine last longer? The engine will shake a
1998 Windstar unlock problem - how to reset14 Jan 2005 05:41 GMT1
My 1998 Windstar will no longer unlock (except for the drivers
door)using either the keyless remote or the lock/unlock buttons on the
doors. With everything locked, the keyless remote unlocks the drivers
door on the first "Unlock" command; the second "Unlock" command causes
1990 Escort GT, Caster Issue14 Jan 2005 00:03 GMT3
I just had a four wheel alignment done today because the car was
responding badly when on braking.  It drifts to the driver's side and
then over to the passenger side.  It still does it some after it was
aligned, but not as bad as it was before.
