96 mustang gt 4.6L With the AC switch on vent or floor, everything is fine. Put the switch in AC mode, every five seconds, idle jumps up to 1100-1200 rpm for a second, then drops back to normal. Blower works

What is involved in switching to rear disc brakes on a 95 Escort Wagon? I can get parts (heck the whole back-end) off an Escort GT pretty cheap so price really isn't an issue. While I'm at it, whats the appropriate year donor vehicle?

We had so many problems with our Expedition, we filed suit with Ford, and are getting a full refund. 2003 Expedition EB, 4x4, 5.4 V8 We had the rear end replaced 2x, and the clutch pack replaced once.

I see 2002 Ford Escorts for sale pretty commonly. They're a tempting proposition, because I remember the 90s Escort having a pretty good reliability history, especially the ones starting with the 1997 redesign (and even the 91-96 models to SOME extent).
