Need help - Found this on Ebay, is the Vortex Generator for real or a scam??14 Apr 2005 00:31 GMT8
I found this item on Ebay that advertises an increase in fuel efficiency of
up to 30%.  I'm not a mechanic, but figure if it sounds to good to be true it
usually is.  Does anyone have any experience these things, or info if what
they say is true?  Any info would be appreciated.

99 Ford Escort Headlight Problem13 Apr 2005 13:57 GMT4
My wife drives a 1999 ford escort and has been having a problem with
the passenger side headlight. The ground wire (black color) has been
heating up and gets hot enough to melt the plastic connecting socket
and the wire insulation--sometimes the bulb will fry.  The other wires

Now another issue that hasn't seem to damage the car since I have been
driving it and it's not getting better or worse either.  But whenever the
car goes from 1st gear to 2nd gear it seems like rather than shifting
smoothly it's jumping to the 2nd gear... it doesn't do it in other ...

Anyone ever come across this?
When I click on the key fob to open the driver's door the door lock
does not pop up, but if I double-click all the other locks open up,
except the driver's door.
Transmision not shifting properly13 Apr 2005 01:23 GMT1
I have a 1997 Chev Van 2500, 350 engine.
I have a Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input P0102 error.  Hopefully
replacing the MAF sensor will cure the rough idle and sluggish starts. Just
mentioning it in case it is related to the following.
1994 Ford Escort 1.9L Engine (Automatic)12 Apr 2005 21:59 GMT5
My 1994 Ford Escort has about 118,000 miles on it.  I would say it runs
rather well.  But little did I know that the car was totally reconstructed
until I received the title.  I put a full tune up on the car then after the
fact I went and got a fuel system tune up done.  Every since ...
No Cop Car12 Apr 2005 13:00 GMT6
I got a good laugh last night. I stopped behind a late model Crown Vistoria
at a stoplight. The car had dual exhaut, a small spooler on the rear edge of
the trunk lid, and a couple of antennas. The licence plate said - NOCOPCAR

Loose Tie Rods 98 Crown Vic12 Apr 2005 07:43 GMT5
Hi All: I finally took your advice and jacked up my car and wiggled
the wheels. I'm not pleased with what I found. The passanger side tie
rod is extremely loose, in fact I'm not sure its safe to drive to the
repair shop. Can this thing actually break?
