When I set the cruise a noise (like someone blowing of the edge of an empty
bottle)  comes from under the hood.   Any ideas guys?   1998 Taurus Wagon
with vulcan.  Also the cruise works fine in all ways except for the strange
noise.

an '84 Caddy before this (six-plus years ago) and it was easy to pull

Have a 93 Taurus 3.8L The cooling fan stopped working I figured it was the
coolant sensor because when I disconnected the wires to the sensor the fan
would then work but always on HIGH... I put in a new sensor but that did not
fix the problem..
