Instrument cluster on 200204 May 2005 03:17 GMT3
I have a 2002 Taurus SEL and today one of the bulbs of the backlit
display for the instrument cluster burnt out.  Please tell me it's just
a fuse.  Otherwise how would anyone get inside of there without tearing
everything apart?  Does the steering wheel need to come off?  What
Late 70's T/A04 May 2005 03:04 GMT16
I drive a Ford Aerostar, I love my van. It suits my lifestyle, as I move
a lot, and when I used to party, I could crash in it. But I always
fantasize about my ultimate project car. It would be a '79 or '80 Trans
Am. You know, the ones with the square headlights and the big 6.6 ...
Which to believe?04 May 2005 00:56 GMT7
It's a 2002 Ford Taurus SEL.  DURATEC 24V.
The sticker on the flap for the fuel cap access panel says to use
ETHENOL or Regular Unleaded only.  But the Vin number of the car
doesn't start with the right letter for it to be a flex fuel.  So what

When buying an used car, you do good if you get most of the stuff you
wanted.  Instead of a CD player, I got a sun roof.  Today it shattered.
Talk about a mess!  The temperatures weren't higher than the 80s.  There
was no evidence of foul play.

If so, how hard?
If not what is the typical cost?

A friend of mine recently purchased a very early production mustang
(March 31,1964) with a Vin of 5F08D106001 . The car was made in
Detroit and is a convertible 4 spd car, red on red. We are trying to
determine which Mustang it was in sequence. Does anyone have any

Hello again everyone!
My 1991 Ford F-150 with 5.0 HO is still unexpectedly and rather
unfortunately stalling.
The truck will idle, and go, but as soon (auto trans btw) as you press the
Dealer service necessary?02 May 2005 19:03 GMT48
I have a 2005 Escape Hybrid with almost 10,000 miles on it. I
called the dealer and made an appointment for its first scheduled
maintenance service (excluding the tire rotation I skipped at 5000
mi). Now I see that the only items to be done at 10,000 miles are

I started having problems with my 1991 Explorer starting Thursday night.  It
is a 5 speed maual so I presume it has a Clutch/starter interlock switch
(also called a clutch pedal position switch).
What I need to figure out, I know that this switch is supposed to prevent

Here's another question:  The oil pressure indicator has an area marked
Low - Normal - High, when the needle is sitting in the area marked as
"Normal", but closer to the low side, is this still considered a "Normal"
range of oil pressure? And, when I decide to change the oil ASAP ...
