I was about to change the oil and filter on a tranny van the other day, but
I couldn't find the oil filter any ideas? The tranny is a diesel 2 litre
plus 2002 (old shape)

I own a 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis, and have a question.  When my car
is on for 10-15 minutes (usally when im parking) in stalls (the engine
shuts off, but the car is still actully on), so I have to start it up
again.  The engine runs fine, so im assuming it is something with one

I'll be moving soon.  CA ---> TX.  Once I get the '02 Ford Taurus
registered in TX state.  Can I remove the CA smog emissions device
somehow?  It is to my understanding that said device robbs the engine
of power.

Bought a '99 and was never told if/how the rear window opens (hatch
works fine). It appears that it should, but turning the key in the
lock either way doesn't seem to release it. I don't have a manual, so
thought I'd just ask here before persuing further.

Mine is leaking because the power steering cooler rubbed one of the tubes.
Any hints on how to get it out?

'97 Ford Escort 130,000 mi.2.0 L Auto Tranny
I just replaced my transmission fluid, filter and gasket. The book says 8.2
pints of fluid in one place, 4.1 qts in another.
I only took out 2+ qts. I put 3 back in and it sure is reading high now.

I would like to install oversized front rotors/brakes on a 2002 Ford
Taurus SEL.  The car has great sized brakes as it is, but for mountain
driving with a carload of passengers it's a bit edgy even with the
transmission out of overdrive.

I had a Prestige Remote Engine Starter installed on my 2003 Lincoln Town
Car.  Whenever I use the remote control to lock the car, the burglar alarm
goes off in 5 to 20 minutes.  Anyone else have this experience, or more
importantly, know how to fix it?  Thank you!
