1990 Grand Marquis GS 5.0 EFI Starting this summer, every once in a while, after driving on the highway the idle would go way up. It would stay high until I shut the engine off. When I shut it off the idle always goes back to normal.

Daughter has a 93 Escort SW, it runs great around town. On the open highway between 50-65 MPH it misses acting like it's starving for fuel or an ignition miss. If you accelerate it quits missing, also when on a pull up hill the miss will quit..
