I wonder how this will bode for Ford.  I guess it depends if its a
technology issue, Toyota and Ford being the same, or an implementation
issue, Toyota and Ford being different.

Can someone tell me where to find the "Profile Ignition
Pickup". Haynes manual gives no clue.
Is it in the Distributor or is it mounted somewhere on the flywheel

My 2005 Escape windshield took a rock on the highway. The insurance
company says that the glass company needs to get an authoriation to
use Factory Glass (Carlite). The glass companys says that this glass
is no better than pinkerton glass. Anyone have experience? If the car

Hi all.  My mother has a 96 Ford Taurus with a factory security system.  The
manual doesn't really say anything about it.   Does anyone have any
information on how to tell it to stop arming automatically?

97 Taurus wagon...won't engage shift lever when started... have to start
in neutral and then shift to proper gear...any suggestions helpful

The check engine light came on several weeks ago.  I immediately took the
car in and P0401 code came up (insufficient EGR flow).  The DPFE checked
out bad and a new one was ordered which took 3 weeks to get!!!
Valve replaced but tech could not get the light to stay out.  Same code

when idling in park engine has low surging rpm's,and when streering is
turned either way engine stalls . also noticied voltage meter is down a
knotch.  i would appreciate any imput

We bought a used 2001 Ford Windstar from a supposedly reputable dealer
about 9 months ago.  This is our first mini-van and thus far we have loved
it.  However, about 3 weeks ago it started to have a problem. I will do my
best to describe it:

Any one knows of any fuel/timing problems with these cars? Our car knock like hell. We have to use the most expensive fuel there is and the car is picky too: it "prefers" only the best of the expensive - Exxon. If we put anything other than that it sounds like bells in a church. ...
