1971 ford ltd 351w15 Sep 2005 11:37 GMT3
Is there anyway to visually tell the difference between a 71 and 72
detuned engine.  I recently bought this car thinking it had the 240 hp
engine but when I went to get a new air cleaner, the 71 cleaner was too
big (thats what the autozone computer called for).  the air cleaner for

I have a 84 Ford LTD 4-door that was sitting for about 3 years.  A number of
things suffered as it wasn't prep'ed first and the windshield leaked so
plenty of moisture is involved.  None of the electric windows would move so
I started checking.  At the fuse panel, I'm only ...

My 2000 Taurus was in the dealer yesterday for the spring recall.  The
dealer pointed out that the inner tie rod ends are pretty worn and
quoted $450 to do the job.  I'm taking it to my local Mr. dependable
mechanic to do the job on Wednesday.  Should I have to outer ends
1996 Ford Taurus ???Electrical Problems????15 Sep 2005 01:35 GMT3
For a while now my car has been working strange. It starts fine, but
after you drive it for a while(3 miles or 50 miles) all of a sudden
the speedometer stops working and goes to zero and if you step on the
gas  the RPM’s rev up so high that you have to let up and very slowly
Alternative fuels--Make your own Hydrogen14 Sep 2005 02:57 GMT3
Found this web site that has a system to generate your own hydrogen
using solar or wind power.  Of course you have to buy their kit and
install a trunk full of tanks good for about 350 miles.

'97 Escort in reverse runs like crap13 Sep 2005 20:33 GMT4
All,
A few years ago my wife's '97 2.0L Escort fired a P0303 (engine - cyl
#3 misfire) code and after replacing the plugs, wires and coil pack it
still ran like crap.  FWIW, those parts (except for the coil pack) were

Ford has proclaimed that Muslim shall not purchase their cars.
Why?
They have not allowed the workers to practice their faith and take
prayer from their work schedules.

8.8 diff backlash13 Sep 2005 15:02 GMT15
I recently purchased a 95 Mustang GT. I have a vibration from 90 MPH and up.
I've pinpointed it to the diff. The gears were changed to 3.55's, but the
set up was not well done. I checked the backlash and I have .020 backlash,
which I think is too much. I checked my shim thickness ...

These are very large puddles and you must drive thru slowly. The depth is
