Is it normal that when my fuel gauge is near E, that I still have 3 or 4 gallons left? I filled up today and only put in 11 gallons, but my manual says I have a 16 gallon tank. Is the extra fuel to accommodate the "1/4 tank rule" that I've heard helps keep electric fuel pumps ...

I have a 1988 Ford Thunderbird V8 - 2 days ago my batt was drained - wouldn't hold charge bought new one - No issues until tonight when I tried starting and batt was drained - Jumpped it and ran for 5 minutes, shutdown, restarted fine so batt is charging, ran it for another 5 min ...

My Escort cuts out when I'm traveling down the highway and after I let off the gas for a few seconds it will come back and travel on for approximately 3 more miles before the problem repeats itself. It doesn't do this in town. Only on the highway. Has anyone else experienced this ...

Our t-bird recently overheated on the way home from work due to the water pump leak. When we refilled it with water to try and start it to get it home the engine would try and turn over at a normal turning speed but would never actually start up. what could be causing it not to ...

I have never removed or installed an alternator before - Can anyone step me through the process or send me to a link online explaining the steps - I have an idea on how to get out I think my problem will come when trying to get the belt back on - Any help would be appreciated

have a ford ea sedan...when towing my boat occasionally it heats up to near boiling point and heater runs cold....problem suddenly stops car cools down and heater runs hot again..only happens every now and then , and regardless of outside temperature... any ideas...
