1999 ford explorer cold idle problem16 Jan 2006 01:47 GMT3
I have a 1999 Explorer sport 4.0 SOHC. When it is cold outside (below
50 degrees)and the car sat overnight or sat for several hours it
wouldn't idle worth a darn, would rev up real high then sputter then
idle high again, and it would die . It would do this for about 3 or 4

My 98 Crown Vic started to Mis fire today. Got a check engine light. I
remember reading that the coils start to break down after 100,000
miles. I jigggled the coil caps a little and found that I could get
the misfire to stop.  I disconnected the battery for 5 minutes to

FS - 97 Taurus GL Wagon - Needs Engine Wor/Swap15 Jan 2006 17:44 GMT8
My 97 Taurus GL wagon needs to go.  135K, overall good condition, BUT, the
engine needs either a major overhaul or a swap due to a slow internal
coolant leak that seems to have gotten to the engine bearings, despite very
frequent oil changes.  The engine runs strong, but shows low ...

02 Jag s-type AC Temp switch15 Jan 2006 03:16 GMT8
My 02, 3.0 s-type's ac fan will not shut off, by the switch.  It seems all
the buttons still work, looking at the tempter control, it looks like it
goes off but the fan stays running. It even sounds as if the vents close,
which makes the fan noise get even louder when it is suppose ...

My son just bought a 1998 F-150 and it did not come with the remote door
lock.  Being an XLT I think it is probably on the truck and he just did not
get the remote.  Is there an easy way to check if the truck has this feature
installed?

1992 Ford Tempo Trailer Hitch14 Jan 2006 12:59 GMT7
I have a 1992 Ford Tempo. We're about to move across country about 1600
miles or so. It doesn't have any trailer-hitch gear on it. I think it would
be able to tow probably 1000 lbs, and that's enough. We intend to tow (say)
a 4x8 ft trailer nothing more.
