Squealing Rear Brakes - 2001 Ford Focus20 Mar 2006 20:05 GMT5
There is a squealing noise from my rear brakes that is getting on my nerves.
The noise is not present at all times. It occurs only at low speeds just
before the car comes to a complete stop. It also seems to me that the noise
is more frequent when the car is still cold. The previous ...

Idling speed has jumped to 1200-1500rpm from usual 850-900rpm

If the ABS warning light on the instrument panel stays lit or blinks, and
some one tells you that this would happen if either the anti-collision light
(the cyclopes light above the rear window) lamps fails to operate or the
sensor has failed was nothing to worry about, what would ...

Screw Consumer Reports20 Mar 2006 09:40 GMT126
I just picked up (but did not buy) the famous Consumer Reports auto
issue which claims no American car was worthy of its top ten rating. I
am particularly interested in their description of my Ford Freestar van.
I have driven most of the minivans for sale right now, and my ...

Inertia Switch - 2005 Ranger20 Mar 2006 01:18 GMT21
I have a Ranger that I got in February of this year.  We have had a
continuing problem with the Fuel Pump Shut-off Switch (Inertia Switch).
The switch has "tripped" several times since I got the truck.  A few
weeks ago the dealer happily replaced it, it promptly "tripped" again,

Fast wearing tyres - help19 Mar 2006 21:55 GMT1
I have a ford escort which 6 months ago I had a garage change
the wishbone bushes on the car, since then my tyres have rapidly
become unevenly worn, in a space of only 1500 miles, the tyres
were of good tread before the wishbone bushes were replaced.
When the Japanese Take over the the US Auto Industry the US will have Hell to pay19 Mar 2006 21:06 GMT63
As the US consumer assists in helping the Japanese take over the US auto
industry by wiping GM an Ford off the map thereby reducing all major
competition I suspect the quality control to go down on these cars to an
extent. With the less competition with Ford and GM 6 feet under ...
