I know that the gas tank in my 1995 Escort is 11.9 gallons (45 litres). But when the gas gauge in the dash says it's empty, I fill it right up, yet the gas pump said only 8-8.5 gallons went in. What is the cause of my incorrect fuel gauge, and how do I remedy it?

Can anyone please help me with a problem with my car Ford Escort 1.6LX Zetec 16v P reg (1997), when started it seems to flood with petrol and a smell of petrol out of the exhaust pipe. By removing the spark plugs they also smell of petrol and are damp.

I have a 91 Ford Thunderbird LX 5.0 V8 and my gas guage reads over full. Now it doesn't matter if the tank is empty or full, the guage still reads the same. How do i go about fixing this? I checked the fuses and none are blown. I'm thinking it's the sending unit, but i

I have an EB Fairmont and the odometer isnt spinning. The KM/H guage works fine. I have checked the electrical connections at the back of the instrument cluster, and it's all good there. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and how is it fixed.

My 1993 Crown Vic runs just fine as long as I am moving down the road, but when I am stopped at a red light the motor starts surging and idling rough, and the engine goes dead. Can anybody tell me what could be causing this?

As this car didn't have a rev counter as standard, can I simply get a set of clocks with a rev counter and connect them up, or would I need to do any extra cabling? Cheers.
