Hi,  Last week I had the transmission fluid changed in my 2001 Windstar
at a quickie lube place.  Like a dummy I didn't check to sure that the
level was correct.  I traveled to a remote area and the transmission
started slipping.  There was no fluid on the stick and all I could find

2001 F-150, Supercrew XLT 2WD w/ 4.6 Triton, 120K miles.  With some
regularity, I get a significant plume of smoke at startup.   I would
assume that it indicates bad valve guides.  However, oil consumption is
not all that high.  I use 1 qt between oil changes.  Truck seems to

I have a 94 Topaz and suspect I have a failing fuel pump.  The two
symptoms are: (1) the car runs well most of the time, but at high rpms
I occasionally get pinging, (2) when idling in drive, the engine seems
to vibrate more than it should.  About the vibrating, if I put it in

99 Taurus - where to tap into switched power?18 Apr 2006 08:57 GMT1
I'm adding an aftermarket gauge to my 99 Taurus wagon.  I have the
console apart, stereo/climate control "oval" out, underdash panel out,
so I can get to a lot of wiring.  Does anyone know where/what color
wire I can tap into for the switched (ACC) power for the gauge power?

I've having problems with my car for 18/12 or so. It stalls when I
apply the brake especially when cold. If I take my foot off the brake
the revs come back up.  The engine also revs very high at times
although the rev meter is faulty so I can't put a figure on it. Also
Instrument cluster on a 97 f-150 not working, need help!17 Apr 2006 16:22 GMT2
My entire instrument cluster (i.e. fuel gauge, temp) stopped working
yesterday. At the time I was towing my boat and had the lights for the
trailer attached. I have replaced fuse 2 (5 amp) and still no luck. The
panel lights work fine, as do all my other lights. One other odd thing
