| Noisy Idler Pulley Bearing Quick Fix | 13 May 2006 03:15 GMT | 7 |
Use an insulin hypodermic to inject a few drops of SAE 90 gear oil through the rubber seal and into the ball assembly. This will fix dry sealed ball bearings. If your car has 100,000 miles or more, you bearings are in need of oil replenishment.

| 1996 Taurus tranny | 11 May 2006 12:07 GMT | 7 |
My friends 96' Taurus' automatic transmission bit the dust at 105K miles. The estimate is about $2K to repair it. I realize the mileage is high but is it possible to get Ford to pick up any of the tab, considering the failure history of this tranmission?
