it appears that the sensor for changing gears on my 1997 mercury sable
is gone bad...(or so friends tell me)   What I need to know is if the
sensor is outside the transmission or inside ....I don't want to be
taken advantage of by a mechanic in my area...lol

I would like to play MP3s on the radio of a 2004 Taurus.  Can I
get a portable MP3 player and then use the little Belkin
antenna to play the MP3s on the radio?
I ask because the antenna for the 2004 Taurus is over the trunk

I'm trying to change the oil for the first time on my mom's 2000
Countor SE with the V6.  It's always gone to the dealer before for oil
changes.  I am unable to get the oil drain plug off.  Due to it's
location, I can't use a socket set, because the exhaust is in the way.

Ever since I got this car the dasboard light indicates a door not
closed- most of the time it's on.  Where are the sensors and how does
one fix this?

The automatic headlights, the ones that come on when it is dark and go
off when light are driving me crazy. they seem to come on under tree
cover, a dark cloud, etc then go off a few seconds later.
Drivers in front of me think flashing my lights at them. Is there a way

The headlight lens cover on my 92 Taurus is slightly cloudy.

The battery ground clamp on my Escort has corroded and split.  Is there
any problem with replacing the clamp end? There is a terminal block
attached to the battery clamp that I can bolt to the new clamp.
The Ford CD Service manual states that the battery cables are integral

     I'm hoping someone can help me here.  I need to pull my
instrument cluster out, actually just the section containing the
speedometer and gauges, to change the lights.  The manual is telling me
to pull the cluster out enough for me to disconnect the speedometer

Fuse position is labled "17" and of course the fuse cover says to "see
owners manual" which I haven't got because it isn't my car. If anybody
has a manual handy for a 1993 or similar model Ford Mustang and can
reference the relevant circuit to this particular fuse I would sure
