mondeo cigar lighter20 Nov 2006 15:46 GMT2
I have a 2001 mondeo estate. The cigar lighter by the handbrake works but
will not charge a mobile phone or radar detector, yet the 12volt socket in
the boot works fine. A friend has the same problem.
Does anybody know how to fix this issue ?
Changing Wiper Blade on Grand Marquis20 Nov 2006 07:23 GMT3
I have a 1993 Grand Marquis.  I want to change the wipers, but not just
the refill - the whole blade.
But I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to get the metal frame
that holds the refills off of the arm that attaches at the base of the
Edge - High beltline20 Nov 2006 07:07 GMT9
Just saw my first picture of the 2007 Edge. It has that "high beltline" look
which I cannot stand. What is driving this design in most new cars? Is it
simply copcat style or a way of meeting some regulatory standard (safety or
other)? Inquiring minds want to know. Anyone on the ...

This just shows that Ford is bunch of nimrods.  I would buy a diesel
expedition in a heartbeat.   I would have bought it 7 years ago when
I bought my 99.   I would have bought it last year when I bought ...
02 Villager 3 pack20 Nov 2006 03:51 GMT2
When I took my 02 Villager in for a misfire the service tec recommended a
"3 pack service".  I declined due to the fact that plugs and wires solved
the problem.  Can anyone shed light on what a three pack is? (other than
the obvious beer jokes!)

2001 Mustang convertible leaking in rear boot19 Nov 2006 17:36 GMT1
My 2001 Mustang convertible is leaking water in the rear boot. I took a
quick look, and before I start ripping things apart there are 3 separate
brackets holding the convertible top to a gasket, then bolted to the trunk.
It is leaking in the 2 spots where the brackets are not ...
ABS19 Nov 2006 14:03 GMT5
Does anyone know if the ABS can be shut down by pulling a fuse. I believe my
chattering brakes happen when I apply a fair amount of pressure to the
brakes above about 30 MPH. This problem started right after I had someone do
a brake job (all 4 wheels).
One more look at the situation --19 Nov 2006 11:59 GMT4
sorry to "bump" my post, but there doesn't seem to be a way to
subscribe to just a discussion?
Anyhow, here was teh last thing I was wondering in my previous
discussion....
rear door lock actuator 02 Taurus19 Nov 2006 08:52 GMT2
I need to replace the actuator for the left rear door lock. Got the
panel off, external screws out, but, while I can get my hand on the
mechanism, can't figure out how to get the thing out. If anyone can tell
me how, I would appreciate it.
power streering and synthetic fluids19 Nov 2006 07:54 GMT9
I was wondering if anyone knew of any good synthetic power steering
fluids.  A few years back, I had 1993 Ford Ranger and a round 200,000
kilometers, the power steering became inefficient and very noisy.  One
day I was in Walmart and noticed the store brand synthetic power
Tran. not downshifting without letting off gas in '90 Ford Ranger19 Nov 2006 02:39 GMT3
Hello all! I have a 1990 Ford Ranger (v6 2.3l) and this has been
happening since I aquired the vehicle. I go to accelerate and it won't
kick into a lower gear until I let off the gas. A friend of mine was
riding with me and said it was a "kick-down" cable. My Haynes manual
Computer Code for 93 escort- what does this mean????18 Nov 2006 20:51 GMT2
I have retreived the codes for a 93 ford escort with fuel injection and
I do not understand the translation.
The message that I get is "pulse width is wider than expected".  That
is not actually verbatum, but that's the drift.  I have replace the O2
