Question: Procedure for removing and replacing the heater core. Some say the dash must be removed to get at it. Is that necessary or is there an easier way ?

I just bought a used Windstar and went to change the air filter before I went for my emissions test. To my surprise, I found motor oil in the air box. I checked the oil dipstick just for the hell of it and noticed that there was around an extra quart of oil in the engine. I

It's a 1995 Mark VIII. They flicker fairly fast at idle and faster with acceleration. Everything else seems normal. The battery and alternator are just a few months old. Someone told me it sounds like a ground problem. I hope it's not the alternator even though it's under warranty
