2000 Taurus Leaking Gas?10 Nov 2006 16:11 GMT1
I own a 2000 Ford Taurus.  Recently I started to notice that when the
car sits for a long period of time (overnight for example), it leaks
enough fluid to form a small puddle behind the left rear wheel.  I
don't smell gas, and when I wipe the stuff off the floor, it does not
98 Taurus  roof top antenna install10 Nov 2006 01:19 GMT3
I would like to install  an NMO type antenna mount in the center of
the  roof for a 2m ham antenna. Any tricks or tips would be
appreciated. Is there any thing to watch out for? The best way to get
the coax from the roof to under the dash? I'll be using the Larsen NMO
They killed his 94 Tempo!09 Nov 2006 16:52 GMT10
My buddy was having some engine idling problems and took his Tempo to a shop
that he likes because they are
quick. First they replaced the MAF which did not help.
Then they worked on  it for a week and at the end of that
Boss 302 question09 Nov 2006 13:41 GMT3
I always heard that the Boss 302 engine, could be made with a 302 block and
putting on 351C 2V cylinder heads.
Is this true, and if so, do they bolt right on, or are there modifications
that need to be made?
Today's cars as tall as those in '4809 Nov 2006 00:19 GMT42
Turner Classic Movies is showing the old cinema serial, "Superman".  It was
produced in 1948 in 15 chapters.  Starred Kirk Alyn and Noel Neil.  Very
entertaining and I recommend it.
What's remarkable are the old sedans. You'll see a gangster Lincoln in many
98 Lincoln Mark VIII  - airbag suspension deflates overnight08 Nov 2006 02:03 GMT3
My 98 Mark VIII has started completely deflating it's airbag suspension
overnight.  The compressor is able to reinflate them when I start the
car, but I'd like to get it fixed.  I have checked for leaks in the
bags using soapy water and don't seem to have any.  Also, they just
96 ESCORT 1.9 AUTO TRANSMISSION--FIX OR REPLACE WITH USED ???07 Nov 2006 19:47 GMT5
I'm a moderately skillled mechanic, 51 years old.  The car moves in 1st
and reverse only (if you put the shifter in 1, not in D).  The fluid is
black, the previous owner purportedly had gotten it stuck.  I don't
want to buy a used transmission that is on the way out.  So, am I
89 Sable brake crunch noise07 Nov 2006 17:26 GMT6
My 89 Sable wagon had brake pads and shoes replaced at 110K miles. At
first the bakes were fine, but now at around 112K I am hearing a loud
crunching/chattering noise whenever coming to a full stop. The brakes
will be quiet until the last half second before the car stops - then

'06 explorer - oil change required light07 Nov 2006 04:17 GMT3
Oil has 2600 miles & 60 days since last change.  Oil life value was set
to 80% (4k miles) at that time.  Oil change required light is now
coming on.  Changing oil life % does not clear the problem (comes on
after each restart.)  Oil level is correct and oil color is nominal.
