I juat bought a 2002 Taurue SE with 3.0 V6 engine. I looked on the gates
timing belt site and see no timing belt for this year.
Is this an intereference engine and does it have a belt or chain?

Any ideas how much of a pain this would be? I do have access to a lift
if needed, but if I can get to it without going there, would be a
better thing.

My 3.0 Taurus calls for 5W20 oil.
I have been using Motorcraft synthetic blend and changing the oil every
3,000 miles.
For only a couple bucks more for a 5 quart container, I can buy Super Tech

Thought I would post one final comment about my transmission issue and
me replacing the manual valve in the transmission. Turns out a local
transmission shop happened to have a used manual valve for my
transmission. He had never heard of one bending before, but he said
