I have a 2000 Crown Vic (Police Interceptor) and the tranny slips.
Sometimes it will not shift into OD when i know it should, and then
finally it will, not redlining before it does, but you can just tell
when it should should, and its going beyond that.  Also under full

Locating Mass Airflow Sensor on a 96 E350 5.8L V815 May 2007 17:11 GMT6
I'd like to get at the MAF sensor in my 96 club wagon to give it a
cleaning but I am having trouble locating it. I know it's gotta be
along the vacuum lines between the air filter and the throttle, but i
don't seem to see any wires coming out. Does anyone have any
Vermont could clear way for new U.S. emissions rules15 May 2007 03:27 GMT25
I saw this article and thought the comment on Toyota hybrids near the bottom
was interesting- "While hybrid technology has raised manufacturing costs,
Toyota Motor Corp., maker of the Prius hybrid, expects cost-cutting on
hybrid production to make the cars as profitable as ...
Ford's support of Homosexuality hurting sales15 May 2007 00:14 GMT54
There is a boycott of Ford for over a year now because of their open and
aggressive support of homosexual groups and homosexual marriage.  So
last month their sales performance was again one of the worst in the
industry.  Will management and the stockholders ever wake up?
Engine Replacement14 May 2007 20:55 GMT7
I have a 1994 Ford Escort LX with the 1.9L I-4 and 136k miles. I was
told that one of the cylinders lost compression so essentially the car
is running on only 3 cylinders. I went to a junkyard and pulled an
identical 1.9L motor out of a '95 Escort with about 70k on it and I
A Message to Alan Mulally14 May 2007 20:33 GMT3
Alan, here are ten, cheap "fixes" that will differentiate Ford products
from the rest of the field:
1.  Programable fly-by-wire throttle.  Driver can set gas pedal throttle
for the sensitivity desired.  Virtually all of today's cars are far too

On Saltspring Island, near Victoria, BC, gas is now $1.335 per litre! That
may well be the highest in North America.

Dual tank problems 1991 Ford F15014 May 2007 04:33 GMT1
I recently bought a 1991 Ford F150 that runs great except for one
problem. When running off the front tank, everything is fine, but when
running off the rear tank, the truck bogs down, and there is a
noticeable whine coming from the tank. I believe I read that there is
Ignition trouble shooting.14 May 2007 03:46 GMT2
I have a 96 3.8 Windstar with a failure to fire. I believe it is
getting fuel because I can smell it. Is there a way to check the PCM
signal to the coil safely? What type of signal or voltage should one
see while cranking on each of the three connection tips of the harness?

1961 Ford Falcon Fuel Filler Tube14 May 2007 01:45 GMT4
The early, abrupt bend in this filler tube makes fueling without

Fueling is such a pain in the a.s, my girlfriend is considering
selling "Grace" b/c she can't fill 'er up (I have to, b/c there's no
