95 Explorer AC question21 Jun 2007 03:41 GMT4
My wifes explorers AC only operates on MAX AC.   It blows hot air when on
normal AC.   I've attempted to make sure that the freon is full and it is.
When in the reg. AC setting, the compressor doesn't even run.
Any ideas?

my 1992 taurus wagon 3.6 liter recently had a tune up. and 3 months later

instinct was that it was flooded and would start after 5 min,but now it
can take as long as 15-20 min before it starts. I found a broken ...
99 Taurus 3.0L OHV AX4N Right  Halfshaft21 Jun 2007 01:08 GMT1
Does anyone have any experience replacing one of these halfshafts.  The
inboard joint on the halfshaft is wobbly at the transaxle.  I'm concerned
about the output shaft or the bearing inside the transaxle being worn.  What
are the chances that the transaxle is OK?  The Haynes ...

from the nozzle. The spray is so weak that it doesn't make it to the

some kind of issue with coming in contact with grease/oil and fumes?

Can the oil pan be removed from a '66 Fairlane w/289 in car w/o loosening the engine mounts?19 Jun 2007 20:26 GMT6
I want to change the oil pump on a '66 Fairlane wagon w/289.  Reading
the 1970 Chilton's that covers this car, it seems to indicate you can
pull the oil pan in car, it doesnt mention loosening the engine mounts
or even the sway bar.

Air conditioning repair18 Jun 2007 18:44 GMT2
People who work on their own cars should be able to repair the air
conditioner.  While working on my B.S. I had to take physics classes that
covered gases and refrigeration so I understood the dynamics of air
conditioning.  However, theory didn't help me when the air conditioner ...

Never had this problem before.  Now that the weather has gotten hot,
the fan on my AC/vent has decided to quit working.  I looked in the
