I have a 98 ford taurus it periodically has a whistle noise in the
engine compartment  nothing seems to make it better or worse. I was
told my alternator was over charging so I replaced it. BUTTTT it still
does it but not all the time. any suggestions

Fact:  I have a 1992 Ford explorer that I only change oil once every 6
months.  I currently have 211,000 miles and the engine runs great and
it still doesn't eat oil.  (Therefore, I don't put in any extra oil
until the oil change.)  I have never had engine problems on this car

When mounting a belt tensioner on a 94 Tbird 4.6, there is a little
strange-looking metal piece that mounts with 1 of the 3 bolts.
I need something on the position/orientation of that piece.

the transmission started shifting hard.
within two block one hard shift and the truck went out of geart and

My temperature gauge on the dash has been stuck on COLD for about a year.
The heater produces hot air no problem.  I changed the thermostat anyway,
but it didn't make any difference. So when my mechanic was doing some other

As far as I can tell, there is only one washer pump in my 03 Fiesta Zetec,
and that seems to have only two wires going to it.  So how can it
individually wash front and back screens?  Does it rotate in one direction
for front, and the other direction for rear?
