old man bought a 2001 mustang, 4.6L... he got a good deal and its an automatic. should we keep searching for a 5 speed or are these automatics going to be ok? I think we should swap in 4.10's, it has 2.73's in it currently.

My AOD tranny in my 91 T-bird LX (5.0 H.O.) needs to be replaced. I saw a local ad for an AOD out of an 89 Mustang LX 5.0 for short money and I'm just wondering if the swap will be possible or if I'll run into any trouble. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Today I did the self-test, and got the code 133. This apparently means the AIR CHARGE TEMPERATURE SENSOR signal is greater than the self-test maximum of 4.6 volts. So I look at the photo in my Haynes manual then look at my motor.

Volvos or Fords, same eniggerneering. There's not a spittoonful worth of difference except for the name. Alan Mulally knows this because he's a Boeing man. He knows the FAA certification board would laugh him all the way to the outhouse if either
