Check Engine Light06 Jul 2007 15:49 GMT4
I have a 1999 Ford Ranger.  The check engine light came and stays on.
The ABS light comes on sometimes and stays on for an hour or two.  Yet, the
Sears car repair people checked it and found nothing wrong.
All the panel meters read normal.
Navigation - Sirius - Audio System (Can you hack away safety features?)05 Jul 2007 21:36 GMT4
I've got a new Ford with the Navigation system and the full blown media
center on the LCD in-dash.  It has all these safety features that keep
you from going to the channel guide on the satellite radio and choosing
destinations while the car is moving.

Hi. this is my first post on this group. I drive for DHL in NJ and I get the
same van everyday. It has no AC. It's summer and I'm tired of being hot.
Suppose I connect a 2500 watt inverter directly to the battery and put a
small portable air conditioner between the seats in the cab. ...

C-4 trans leaking from around shift lever04 Jul 2007 03:47 GMT6
Have a C4 in a Fairlane that's leaking from the case at the shift
lever assembly. Any opinions as to what the root cause probably is and
what can be done about it? Losing probably a quart a week or so.
Thanks.
adjusting steering play 95 BroncoXLT03 Jul 2007 02:47 GMT8
I want to tighten up the steering play in my Bronco.  Is it as easy as
it looks?  From what I've read so far, you loosen the locking nut,
then turn the screw IN a quarter turn, drive to check, then repeat as
necessary.

C'mon Ford...02 Jul 2007 01:06 GMT8
Know why Ford is going to die?  Tonight I was building a new Ranger
online... just for fun.  Level II Off Road package. Neat little truck.  But
I wanted a manual 5-spd.  Fine.  Then I selected the premium stereo... you
can only get that with an automatic!!!  Seriously Ford, give ...
