Electric Lock20 Sep 2007 11:46 GMT4
I noticed the electric lock on the front passenger side of my 92 Taurus wagon
had stopped working.  I could control all the other locks from either front seat
lock switch, but the right front lock itself only operated manually or with the
key.
Edge20 Sep 2007 04:06 GMT7
Thinking maybe I might go down to local Ford dealer and look at the Edge
SEL.  Talked with an Edge owner on Sunday and he seems to be really sold on
the vehicle.  Says he hardly drives his Corvette anymore since getting the
Edge.
alarm system??19 Sep 2007 15:44 GMT1
Hi, , ,
I have a 2000 WindStar, and it has a light
that comes on and says "THEFT" when I turn on the ignition. Does this
mean that it has a burgler alarm? or is this just a theft prevention
95 Taurus Front strut replace question19 Sep 2007 01:01 GMT1
Tried to replace the front strut on 95 GL and could not separate the lower
ball joint from the knuckle, the thing is loose and moves in the pinch
joint, just cannot drop enough to free the knuckle from the lower arm.
Seems to bind due to radius travel.
WTH?  92 Taurus Wagon Check Engine Light18 Sep 2007 02:18 GMT9
I was coming home from work tonight... about a 15 mile commute down the
interstate.  As I was rolling down the off ramp the car suddenly bucked for a
second and the check engine light came on.  It immediately smoothed out but the
light stayed on.  As I continued the last 3 miles ...

1994 Ford Explorer rust issue17 Sep 2007 04:58 GMT1
I recently bought a '94 Explorer XLT with a lot of great options for
$400 + $117 to fix the P/S....but I'd like to know from those who've
owned them for a while...is it normal that the running boards are
rusting off?  Is it a design flaw?  Would it add any value to the car
Linclon back fire problem16 Sep 2007 21:49 GMT5
I have a 94 Lincoln Towncar and after a radiator replacement I have had a
problem with the engine back firing at COLD start up.  After less than 5
minutes it will run smoothly all day but the power seems lower than I
remember.  It takes several HOURS, usually over night,  for the ...
HID Headlights on MKZ15 Sep 2007 15:30 GMT8
I have a 2007 MKZ which I was unable to get with HID headlights so I bought
it anyway.  Now I want 'em on the car.  The dealer told me they could
retrofit it but the price was $2,000, which is a no-go.
Are there any good alternatives out there for a retrofit or a different

Power steering pump run using Electric Motor14 Sep 2007 02:52 GMT6
I am planning to install a second power steering pump for a Ford
Econoline Superduty truck. This pump would run on an electric motor.
I was thinking of using valves to bypass the original power steering
and use this new pump to pressurize the Power steering fluid.
