Escort Shakes, Consumes Tires, Cv Joints?07 Sep 2007 03:24 GMT2
We have a 1993 Ford Escort that seems to go through tires. The car
experiences slight shaking tendencies, which then become very severe,
then a seemingly fine front-end tire blows out. Would this be from CV
joints?

79 distributor06 Sep 2007 03:18 GMT10
I am trying to get a 79 351w running.  currently no spark.  I replaced the coil
and ignition module. I can get a spark by hooking the coil - to ground and
putting +12 on the + side for a second, so I do have a base for what spark looks
like.

I could sure use some help with this one.

Really bad wobble04 Sep 2007 19:11 GMT9
Okay, so I have a 90 Ford Escort...old, but it's all I got.  At any speed it
wobbles horribly at the front end ...not always, but it seems to do it after
driving for about 15-20 minutes.  Brand new tires.  Balanced and all.  My
girlfriend told me that the tires were wobbling back ...
Synthetic Oil04 Sep 2007 12:08 GMT1
I have a 96 Mercury Marquis with 121,000 miles that has always used
5w30 "regular" oil. My local service center that always changed my oil
closed, so I took it to the local Ford dealer for an oil change in
May. 4000 miles later I have oil leaks, hardly nothing dripping (yet)
Sticky front wheel sensor04 Sep 2007 05:20 GMT7
Anyone have a tip on how to pull out an ABS front wheel sensor that
seems glued in? I took off the mounting bolt, sprayed with WD40, and
spent 45 minutes trying to pry the thing out with a screwdriver. I
don't want to break it, just clean it.

Friday night drove 400 miles arriving early Saturday morning.  Sunday

bottle was empty.  It was at the full level before the trip as I checked
all the fluids before we left.  I poured in a little over a 1/2 ...

Does a coil need to be grounded?
My guess is yes, but they are always painted (black) which makes me wonder if I
need to worry about it.

Puzzeled about drip, 99 Taurus.01 Sep 2007 13:02 GMT7
I recently flushed and refilled my cooling system, having been surprised
by overheating.  I inspected the system for leaks and didn't find any.
Last night, when weather was cool by the lake, I put the heater on.  A
little while later I noticed dripping under the car.  It seemed ...
