I have ford escort 97, with quite low mileage: less than 100,000 km. It now displays a message: "Service Engine soon". I took it to a mechanic and he said everything is OK and it displays the message probably because something happened to the gas cap with time or something

My '97 Thunderbird LX with 3.8L engine has been throwing a "Service Engine Soon" light every now and then. Checking and retightening the fuel tank cap is about the only remedy I know about, and that hasn't worked in stopping the light from going on and off.

Both Hi & Lo beamss do not function. All fuses are OK and I am able to get the Hi Beams to work by pulling - and holding the turn signal lever. back The light swith operates all other lights normally (tail, interior) and causes the warning horn when key is removed. I was told

I have a UK Spec escort with 1.6 Zetec engine. I have a problem with it "hunting" at tickover (idle) when it is started from cold. Once its warmed up a bit is ok. it runs fine whilst driving.

I'm looking at a 2001 F450 with a service body on it (auto with a 7.3l powerstroke and about 180,000 miles). Are there any known problems with that year truck and also hauling a heavy steel service body around?

Due to falling reliability, Consumer Reports is no longer going to automatically recommend a new or redesigned Toyota model. They will have to wait a year or so until there is valid data. The V6 Camry, 4WD V8 Tundra and AWD GS all ranked 'below average'.

I have a 1988 Ford Fiesta 1.4 CFI as a cheap extra car. The car is in an excellent condition, but when accelerating at low speeds it hesitates. When it reaches about 3.000 rpms it accelerates without any problems.
