I'm using too much gas28 Nov 2007 04:07 GMT12
I have a 99 ford escort and I'm having a great deal of trouble finding
a garage that I can trust to get my car fixed.  When I took my car in
for a tune-up the mechanic changed the gas filter, plugs and air
filter.  After that my car began giving the poorest gas mileage I've
2001 Ford Taurus life expectancy question28 Nov 2007 00:57 GMT11
I have a 2001 Ford Taurus that belonged to my son. Got it form him
used to get back and forth from schoolI Got it with 80K miles for
$5000.  He passed away in 2004 at 19 years old and only was in school
for 3 months. I have kept the car because it has sentimental value and
2007 Ford Focus Air Filter schedule.27 Nov 2007 15:14 GMT3
Ford does not recommend that the air filter get changed in the 2007 for
Focus with 2.0L Duretec Engine with PZEV emissions.  The only time the
filter gets changed is if the computer sends a code to do so.  I change the
air filter in our 98 ford Escort and a 95 F150 about every 30 ...
Air Pump Check Valve [Revised]26 Nov 2007 05:27 GMT4
My air pump check valve (Ford: E9VE-9A487-AB) that attached
to the pipe leading to the heads broke off the pipe at the nut
on my 93 Mustang GT.
When I attempted to remove the nut off the pipe, I bent/crimped the
Antilock brake Explorer26 Nov 2007 01:39 GMT9
Yes, I know that the Anti-lock brake light is a touchy subject for
this group.
I bought a used 91 Explorer.  The light comes on during startup then
goes out (passes self test?).  About a minute later it comes back on
Geiger Cars Adds 200 Horsepower to the Ford GT26 Nov 2007 00:56 GMT3
MUNICH, Germany -- If you've heard of Geiger Cars, then you'll know
just how much this Munich-based tuning company loves making American
cars and sport-utilities faster and a lot crazier. The company's
latest creation is this, a 701-horsepower Ford GT that is limited to a
Mileage Capacity of Taurus Engines25 Nov 2007 19:37 GMT13
Hey all,
I'm cruising for a decent used car (3 - 6K range for work and
comfortable road trips) and not knowing much about Fords (though I
hear the Taurus is a pretty decent model) I'm wondering what the
1996 Taurus Intermitent Park Brake Light25 Nov 2007 06:11 GMT2
For the last two weeks my '96 Taurus' dash "park brake" indicator light
comes on intermitently while driving, especially when cornering. The park
brake is NOT engaged at all. I'm assuming there is a switch that is
activated when the park brake is engaged, and if I could find it, ...

Hi;
I'm not familiar at all with the heater system;  2000 taurus very
little heat coming from the heater. Engine temp is good so thermostat
should be OK. Little info in my Haynes manual on the problem.
Blower motor - Battery24 Nov 2007 08:27 GMT5
Double question (am I cheating?)  ;)
Hey, do blower motors lose strength over time?  I have a 1980 Bronco and I
can't remember when the blower motor wa replaced...  but it's not blowing
very hard anymore...
