On my 250 inline 6 manifold there are two pipes connecting to the carburetor. One metal pipe has a fitting that threads into the carburetor. This pipe has a cloth braid. The other pipe has a rubber hose that fits over a carburetor pipe. Does anyone know what these pipes are ...

I have always exceeded the EPA highway mileage on my last 2 cars. 91 Merc Tracer and 98 Ford Escort, both std trans.. My new car a 2007 Ford Focus is a automatic 2.0 Liter Duratec. 27-34 MPG or so says the sticker. Driving responsibly, I have never exceeded 31 MPG.

Mine is having fits. The whole display blinks like a turn signal and even clicks like a turn signal. All the numbers and letters are lit up when it's flashing and you can't use the heat or air when this is going on. It's random but seems like it happens more in the first 10
